The RISE Project Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating a programme of regular activities and events. As this is a new project we are seeking a self motivated, confident communicator who can make this happen and succeed. The ideal person will be creative, resourceful, organised, experienced in working with young people, excellent communication and networking skills, and have a good understanding of social media.
This is a new post after a successful funding bid through Dudley Council Voluntary Sector Innovation Fund. The Resilience, Involve, Succeed, Empower (RISE) Project is a new joint venture being launched to further support young people in Dudley, in partnership with Dudley Young People’s Alliance members. The DYP Alliance is chaired by CHADD, with members Just Straight Talk, Heantun Accord, YMCA Black Country Group, Stonewater and Top Church Training, a combination of supported housing & floating support providers and training & mentoring services working to support young people in the borough.
The RISE Project will deliver a range of diversionary activities to young people at risk of homelessness, offending or isolation with the focus on empowering, increasing confidence & wellbeing, developing life skills, decreasing isolation and giving inspiration to discover their strengths.
This is a part time position, based on 25 hours per week on average. The post will be contracted for 3 years. Pay rate SCP 24 (currently £12.24 per hour).
