Our New Beginnings service includes safe refuge for people leaving domestic abuse. Many of the people we help are women and their families. This year we supported 115 children. We provided 11,200 nights of safety for victims, survivors parents and their children.

51 women with their children came to the refuge, found their feet and also moved on to a settled, safe new home.
Our work with The What Centre means they have left us in better mental and physical health. Therapeutic support saw real improvements in how women recorded their sense of identity, self esteem, quality of relationships, the trust they had in others and their hope for the future.
But we are not just here for women with young families.
We aim to support anyone suffering from domestic abuse. This year we added a specialist home for older victims and have worked hard to spread the message that domestic abuse can happen to anyone at any stage of their life. (Daniel: make this bit stand out)
